Belkin 600 connection issues?

I have a belkin 600 that i'm using since i can't get the 1200 that i was using before to work.Me and my room mate can connect both our laptops but we can't connect phones or ipads to it, even with the right password. Any ideas as to why it will allow some devices and not others? Also i've tried restarting the iphone/pad and it still isn't working.

Incompatibility with security method.

its not a password, its a PASSkey value that is encrypted.
the encryption includes security credentials.
reduce the security.
if you have the option to use older WEP then that should work.

also most routers have a GUEST or older slower connection. In other words they
are DUAL SSID(wireless signal name) capable.
you could try enabling guest and using older slower wireless
which also uses more compatible older simpler security algorithms.
