Benefits of an iPad over iPhone/MacBook?

I already own an iPhone 5 and a MacBook Pro, but for some reason, my professors all advise that students buy an iPad. What are the benefits of this course of action? I don't quite know if this is worth spending so much money. It almost seems like they are pushed upon us by the university.

You Pro is fine. IPads are great for that in-between experience of not needing a laptop with you but needing something larger than a phone to work with. If you don't mind taking a laptop to class, don't worry about it. Best luck.

The iPad is a brilliant choice, for price and for screen quality, its also mobile which is brilliant to take to your lectures. Thats why their pushing it on you.

Best place to go if your looking for one is JustTablets.co.uk

  • When will Obama increase our food stamp benefits? The greedy rich hoard all the wealth and won't pay their fair share. Think about all the free stuff we can get if they paid more taxes! (iPhone, iPad, gasoline, Internet, Xbox 360, flat-screen TV, Netflix, etc.)
  • What use is an ipad or ipad mini to someone with an iphone and macbook? I'm thinking of getting an ipad mini or ipad 2 for someone who already has an iphone 5 and macbook pro. I don't know how useful it will be since they are not likely to use it outside of their home and i'll be getting the non 3g version so it won't be much use when they take it out anyway.
  • What are the benefits of owning a new iPhone and a new iPod? If you already have a new iPhone with decent storage, would it benefit you significantly to get an iPod for music? Could you get something less expensive if what you wanted was just a bunch of easily available portable music storage?
  • What are the benefits of locked iPhone over an unlocked one? I'm planning to buy an iPhone, I would like to know what the main difference between a locked and unlocked iPhone is. Plus, what advantages or disadvantages do these 2 different modes have? If I buy a locked iPhone, will I be able to use the same Airtel SIM I'm using now?
