When will Obama increase our food stamp benefits?

The greedy rich hoard all the wealth and won't pay their fair share. Think about all the free stuff we can get if they paid more taxes! (iPhone, iPad, gasoline, Internet, Xbox 360, flat-screen TV, Netflix, etc.)

He's not up for re-election. I'll be surprised if he doesn't reduce food stamp benefits in the near future.

IF you have issues with nutrition programs move to a country that lets people starve to death.

I hope so. We need those entitlements. Welfare provides economic growth.

You want more food stamps? Just wait for the next Republican president. After all, Bush was the food stamp president.

Who Benefits From the Safety Net

A new analysis from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities underscores that the poor are no longer the primary beneficiaries of the government safety net.

Terms like entitlements, government benefits and safety net often conjure images of tax dollars sliding from the hands of the wealthy into the pockets of the poor. But as we reported Sunday, that image is badly outdated. Benefits now flow primarily to the middle class.

The center's study found that the poorest American households, the bottom fifth, received just 32 cents of every dollar of government benefits distributed in 2010.

For somebody who wants to troll and pretend they are receiving public assistance, you sure know nothing about it. Oh, and I'm fairly certain there are internet trolls out there that have never even seen a computer that are better than you.

No joke… I was at Albertsons last weekend before the NFL playoff games. Saw one lady buying a TON of beer with cash, and her friend was buying what had to have been $200 worth of steaks and shrimp with her EBT card. Both walked with their kids out to their luxury SUVs completely oblivious to the people around them.

80% of our nations food supply is controlled by 10 huge corporations. Food costs have been increasing 10% or more per year.food stamp allotments have not. The poor and elderly are slowly being starved to death so $ trillions can go to the 1%

Funny. I view this user as a veteran, probably a Marine, that served more than his original 4 year enlistment. Also suspect that he is married with a couple of children. He is probably running a successful small business that employees a number of highly skilled workers, probably in some high tech or communications area. He drives a Lexus or equivalent and lives in the suburbs. He owns his own home without mortgage. He also votes for the best candidate, usually but not always Republican.Am I getting close, Hippie?
