Bought an item on eBay, seller asked me to send the payment directly to his PayPal and I did?

So I bought an iPhone 5s on eBay for $300 bucks. I paid normally, later the buyer asked me if he refunded my money would I send it to his PayPal email directly(bypassing eBay seller fees). I said yes, and he refunded it. And I sent the $300 straight to his bank account. He told me that he still had the seller fees and he wanted to cancel the purchase. He already printed the shipping label on the first day I paid though, If he doesn't send the item is there any way I can get my money back?

You really got yourself involved with a bad seller there. EBay is basically an advertising medium sellers use to contact buyers. Bypassing their fees is stealing services. You should not have agreed to the refund, but simply insisted he shipped as promised in the item description. This seller now has your money and you have no recourse through eBay. About the only thing you can do is message the seller telling-- not asking-- him to ship you the product immediately. If he decides not to, it's your loss and all you'll be able to do is leave him a bad feedback. You might file a formal complaint with eBay on him as well, but I wouldn't until it's certain he doesn't ship.

You've learned a good lesson here, though maybe an expensive one.

He might be ripping you off and because you bypassed Paypal you are no longer protected if he doesn't send you the phoen - MAJOR MISTAKE on YOUR part - NEVER send money directly to sellers bank

Paypal does have some protection for non-eBay purchases. Call Paypal and explain the situation to them. Their phone reps are very helpful.
