Bought iPhone on Craigslist has password?
The person I bought this off of deleted his account. And I can't contact him.
You can reset the password and any information on the phone using recovery mode with these steps:
1. Turn off your phone
2. Hold down the 'home' button (the circular one)
3. Plug the phone into your computer, don't let go of the home button
4. Keep holding until you see a 'connect to iTunes' screen. If the phone didn't turn on automatically than turn it on, but don't let go of the home button still.
5. ITunes should open automatically, but if it doesn't than open it. It should give you an alert, so just hit 'OK' and restore the device.
This should reset everything on the phone.
