Buying an iPhone 5 and taking it to Germany?
I'll be an exchange student in the US next school year and since it is a lot cheaper than in Germany I'd like to buy an iPhone 5 during/for my exchange year and then take it to Germany. I found out that to get an unlocked one I should purchase the "verizon version", how can I make sure that this ends up working?
Just go to the Apple Store and shell out the money. That would be truly unlocked.
- Will an iPhone 5 bought in USA work in Germany & the UK? I'm presently working in Germany, and will be travelling to the US soon, and I need to know if an iPhone 5 (Unlocked) bought in the US will work in Germany and the UK. I currently have an iPhone 4, which works in Germany and the UK, perfectly. I understand an iPhone 5 is considerably cheaper in the US, but need to know 100 per cent, that it would work in Europe.
- Vodafone sim card from germany? Last summer I bought a vodafone blackberry sim card from germany and I want to use it this summer for iPhone in paris belgium and netherland. So my question is, Can I use it? If not does T-mobile can?
- Moving to Germany from USA to live for at least 3 years to study. How can I still use my phone to text/call/FT Americans while I'm there? Do I need to get a completely new phone? Plan? Phone number? I don't understand this process, as I have never gone through it before. I currently have an IPhone 7 and I use AT&T.
- Iphone - buying an iphone offline from Apple and buying a sim only? Does it not work out cheaper, to buy the handset offline, and have a sim only contact and buy a nano chip separately? if you buy it from the apple store do you have to pay vat? what is the cache?
