Can an unlocked iphone 5 work with virgin mobile?
Thinking about buying an unlocked iPhone 5. Any suggestions? Or just Buy the 4s?
Unlocked means GSM unlocked. Virgin uses Sprint's network which is CDMA and there's absolutely no way to get a GSM unlocked phone, even an iPhone 4S or 5, onto a CDMA network because the CDMA side is disabled.
That and Virgin only activates Virgin branded phones. They won't activate Sprint phones either.

No, the iPhone 5 can't be used on Virgin. Go with Straight Talk unlimited talk/text/data for 45 a month.
