Can facetime be used over data?
A friends of mine has an iphone 4 and is using h2o as her service provider. She was wondering if she could facetime over the 3g network or if jailbreaking is the only option for h2o facetiming.
No because you need a Wi-Fi connection
It uses huge amounts of data to pass video, it should only be used over Wi-Fi
Typically it would be too much data for 3G. 4G could pull it off, but with an iPhone4 that's not an option.
I think it is network dependent but for the most part it would work. Try & see.
