Can I be traced from my iPhone and will police get involved?

Okay, not going to hide anything, I did hack into a facebook account of my friends, long story why but i haven't posted anything or put up ANY messages i've only read messages but he figured it out from looking and signed in devices from his facebook, apparently my friend said hes reported it to the police, gotten the school involved and they are tracing the iphone that it was logged into, but he does think its me so maybe hes just saying that but surley its not possible to trace my iphone without difficulty and police wouldnt go that far for little things like this? Also, when i look on my facebook for recent devices, and for my iphone it only shows its from London, LND, GB. Can anything actually be done?

If you don't think everything is being tracked and logged with your phone, then you are just completely stupid. Your carrier logs every single thing you do.

By the way if you ever get anything like this on your record, you can forget about getting jobs later in life because this will show up on it, and companies don't hire criminals.

You phone will be traced. You cell carriers by law have to keep a tracked record of what they see on your phone through coding. Because anything that is electronically like a phone or computer can send a series of codes in half a millisecond to the database of anything. Hacking is also stupid and wrong. And it looks really bad when a criminal offence is done in your track record.

Yes You Can Be Traced Does Not Matter If Your On Your Iphone or Not The Police Can Get Involved if The Person Who You Hacked Figures Out It Was You Who Hacked Your Account

  • Would the police get involved for an expensive stolen object by a minor? My mom bought me glasses($400). They are "real" and the lenses are made to fit my eye vision. I'm in middle school and a high school boy who has a reputation for stealing things (ipods, iphones etc) stole my glasses while he was hanging out with me. Will the police be willing to get involved in this? I live in California. I really need them back, they're expensive and I can barely see anything during class… Or life
  • Using stolen Iphone.is it risky? Can you be traced? I hope to hear some technical explanations, not the moral lectures… there are just so many iphones being sold on the street without boxes, just the phone and the charger and the price is really so tempting… I'm really curios about the risks…
  • Can using Wi-Fi at a public place be traced? If I were using an iPod (not iPhone), and I connected to free Wi-Fi at a place like Starbucks, will it be easy to figure out whose iPod was used? Meaning, if I sent someone a message on Facebook, can they trace the IP address and find exactly where I was and what I used to send the message? Will my name from my iPod be attached to it?
  • Can stolen iphones & ipods be traced? So, basically no lecture I know its wrong dada dada da. I've heard of people stealing iphone 5's from the back of a van, and selling them off as cheap as 200 for iphones and 100 for ipods, basically can these phones be traced, or can a network determine if its stolen?
