Can I put a virgin mobile prepaid SIM card into an iPhone 4/4s?
I have a Virgine Mobile (Canada) Galaxy Gio, on a 35$/month prepaid plan, and i was wondering if can take out the Sim card and reinsert it into an iPhone 4/4s? Also, would i have to jailbreak the iPhone?
Definitely jailbreak, and definitely unlock it, both need to be done for any sim change. I can't help with the unlocking as I'm only familiar with tmobile unlocks, but for both you can try cydias forums

It all depends if virgin has provisioning to support the iPhone on their pre-paid system… (Provisioning in the cellphone world means codes on the network that have to match with codes in the iPhone.) best bet is find a friend who has an iPhone and slap your sim in it. Don't go to virgin first considering they want you on a contract with the iPhone and they will likely say no just to turn you away from that idea. And I seriously doubt that you have to jailbreak it…
