Can I restore my iPhone5S without a SIM card present?
I bought my iPhone 5S in America and now am in China for vacation. Recently my phone started acting up and I think I need to restore through iCloud. I read online and it sas I need a SIM card present. I have my SIM card but since I'm in a different country and I do not have international coverage, I'm wondering if the restoring process will work. Please help and give advice cos i don't know what to do.
You would more than likely have roaming coverage, which would be expensive but necessary in this case. You'd need the SIM to at least get past activation.

So I know the first steps where you open the tray and then when I try to put the card it is just enormous so I cut all the surroundings of the card itself and left only the yellow part and then i put it in the tray and insert it it still doesn't work.
