Can you use an old sim card in a new iPhone after transferring the info to a new sim card?
I'm borrowing an iPhone from a friend, but it requires a sim card. He transferred all his information to a new sim card in a different phone. Can I use the old sim card on a different iPhone?
As long as the other iPhone is unlocked or uses the same carrier yes. However, your old sim card won't have any service since you already transfered your info
You can use it but you will not be receiving network coverage.
Just stating for the record that SIM cards are not memory cards & in the case of iPhones all the data is stored on its memory.
If a SIM is deactivated, then it shouldn't be able to be used in another phone, in this case for the purpose of activation.
- Which is more accurate regarding the details of an iphone, iphoneimei.info or imei.info? When I look up the IMEI of my broken iphone 5s on iphoneimei.info it says it's 16gb and when I look it up on imei.info it says it's 32gb… Which site is more accurate? The iphone is stuck in recovery mode and will not power on unless connected and it won't tell me the storage capacity in itunes.
- Transferring number from old sim card to new? Okay, say if you get a new phone (iPhone to iPhone 4) you take it to the store and get them to change your number from your old simcard to the new one that fits the new iPhone 4. Does the old phone not work anymore? And does all your contacts, photos etc stay on the old phone or go to the new phone with the new sim card?
