Can i use unlocked iphone 5s with verizon?

I bought a new unlocked iphone 5s from apple on amazon.
i bought it so i can get metropcs cuz it's cheaper.
i hate metropcs! I seriously can't text anyone right now because i'm assuming the rainy weather is blocking my signal.
i had other bad experiences too.

i was looking into other plans like verizon.
can i use my unlocked iphone for verizon no contract $60/month plan?
i know verizon and att are like big carrier companies. I was reading something like only verizon has to unlock it and then you're phone works with them.
but can you take a unlocked phone to them?

if not, does that mean i'm stuck with metropcs? Please tell me it isn't so.
stupid question, once you unlocked your' phone, can you go back and have your phone locked again? Is that possible?

Long explanatory answer:
Since you bought the iPhone new and unlocked from Amazon it means it is a never locked phone, which will work on any GSM carrier. In Usa the biggest GSM carriers are AT&T and Tmobile.Metropc is gsm now also but is smaller and works under Tmobile now. Verizon and Sprint are CMDA networks, they use a different type of network that is not compatible with GSM phones, like the unlocked iPhones.Verizon have their own custom made iPhones to operate on their CMDA network, but have to buy that one from them.Since your iPhone was never locked, can't lock it to a certain network and for sure is no reason to do so.A locked phones does not have any advantage compared to an unlocked phone
Short answer: No will not work with Verizon, try to decide on another GSM network like at&t, Tmobile etc

I think you will be able to. Contact verizon
