Can my Iphone charge and update simultainiously?

Added (1). For the record: I've done this and it shows me on svreen: the charger cable as if it were a usb cable and the itunes logo. When i unplug it, nothing changes and i can't turn it of. Also i can't get the latest itunes on my laptop for some reason. I rlly need to know if i did something wrong and if i should go to the store with it.

Added (2). Alright, here's what happened so far: I've found an itunes version that works and installed it. Now i've plugged in my iphone, it says the following (roughly translated): Connection to the server can't be established for iphone-software-update. What the hell is going on?

No there's nothing wrong with it. You must have bought it new. It's telling you to plug it into itunes so it can set the iphone up. If you can't get the latest itunes that shouldn't be a problem. Open itunes and plug it into the computer. Make sure the computer recognizes the iphone driver and installs it for your iphone. (if this is windows go to computer and after a while beside the c drive it will say iphone or since its not set up it will say unknown device) itunes should do the rest and start your iphone up to do the start configuration

Yeah, I usually plug mine up when I update it. For iTunes on the laptop, you have to work on that. Apple hates Microsoft and doesn't really care whether iTunes works on a pc or not anymore. Don't update iTunes if you don't have to. Each one gets worse for Windows users. Best luck.

Yes, it will be able to do both, but if the battery is almost going dead I would not recommend, due the the charge to consumption ration is going to be different depending on what kind of upgrade it is.

I don't see why not. Been that way since day 1 in 2007.
