Can't connect to home Wi-Fi, but other devices can?

I just got my internet set up and I'm having some trouble. I have my wife's laptop and my iPhone connected to the Wi-Fi perfectly, but I can't locate my network via Wi-Fi. I'm currently using an Ethernet cable in the meantime but I can't figure out why I can't find my network, but my wifes laptop and my iPhone found it with no problems. The funny thing is, I can locate other networks like my neighbors no problem.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Command Prompt methods? Anything? Thanks. I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

Added (1). Eddie - I've tried all of those options expect for the Device Manager option. I'm clear on everything except for where I locate Wi-Fi on Network. All I'm getting is a "Network Adapter" option and underneath that it gives me 2 adapters, an Atheros and Microsoft Virtual Wi-Fi adapter. I don't get any promptings for any of these.

Added (2). @IT-Pro - Did that. All the settings are fine. This is the only network this laptop is having trouble connecting to. Also, I can't connect my Wi-Fi because I can't find my network, even though 2 other devices can find it.

Added (3). @Terry. Yes the wireless adapter is installed. Hence why my wife's laptop and my iPhone are connected to the network via Wi-Fi.

Added (4). @IT-Pro. I just have the Default Gateway.

Have you hit the refresh button on your available connections or could it be hidden like scrolling down further? Not trying to insult you but sometimes its the simple things. If that was all done try disabling your Wi-Fi on your laptop then re enabling it, also try unplugging your router waiting a minute then plug back in again. If that fails go to my computer/computer right click on it choose properties then hardware/device manager scroll down to network open to reveal Wi-Fi/lan right click on Wi-Fi and choose remove if prompted to remove drivers say no. Shut that and restart computer it will automaticall find and reinstall your adapter and hopefully fix your issue

It sounds like you don't have a wireless adapter installed. At least Windows don't see it.

Did you go to network and sharing center?

Click the start menu, type in TCP and select network connections.
do you see your wireless connection?
right click it and enable or connect it.
also
right click, choose properties
select IPv4
select properties
and make sure that the radio button "obtain an IP address automatically" and "obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected. You shouldn't see any IP addresses at all in this window.

**okay, go to your CLI and type in ipconfig. Do you have an IP address?

  • Why can't my desktop connect to our Wi-Fi at home but does connect to moble hotspot? Suddenly my desktop won't connect to our Wi-Fi. All other devices such as laptops, phones and tablets connects just fine. I tried connecting it to my iphone's hotspot and it works. I tried to unistall and reinstall the wireless adapter but still won't work. I also tried to reboot the router and even tried to change the channel but still failed to make it work. Do you have any other way to make it work? I have windows 7 on my desktop.
  • One laptop can connect to our home Wi-Fi network but no other devices can connect? We recently set up a wireless internet connection in our house. One laptop can connect to it (the one I'm currently on) but no other devices can connect to it. It says our "Network Security Key" is mismatched. I have tried typing in all the different codes on both the router and modem on both our second laptop and an iPhone 5. How can I fix this?
  • None of my devices will connect to my home wi-fi but my family's work fine? So it started when I was using my laptop at home and the wireless connection suddenly became "limited" (I use windows 8). My phone won't work either. I used "forget network" for both of my devices and started anew, but nothing, still "limited". My family's devices are just fine, it won't connect as long as the device is mine apparently… It's an iPhone the phone I'm using.
  • My Wi-Fi won't connect on my laptop but will connect to my other devices (an iPhone and iPad)? I have a MacBook Air. Sometimes it does connect but other times it just won't. It takes ages connecting and then in the end comes up with the exclamation mark or is just blank. Is this a problem with my laptop? I've tried researching the problem but have found nothing.
