Can't find iPhone 4 Verizon MEID/ESN?
My friend broke his verizon 8gb iphone 4, so he gave it to me and he got a new one and transferred his number. I finally got the iphone up and running, but it says searching under where the signal bars should be. When i go to settings>about, there isn't an MEID or ESN #. Its strange because that's where it should be. Also when i connect it to itunes it doesn't show the phone number or meid. Any ideas what is the problem here, or how i can find the esn?
There's a possibility that the breakage is due to tampering with the MEID. The other places to find the MEID would be on the contract the phone was on (if applicable), and on a label on the lower half of the back cover for the phone box.
- Verizon iPhone 5 comes gsm unlocked so if the esn is bad can you still use gsm? I was wondering sense the iPhone 5 for Verizon come GSM unlocked, if the ESN is bad can it still be used with GSM networks? Please let me know thanks

- Someone wants my MEID number? I'm trying to sell my sprint iPhone 5s on craigslist. A guy contacted me saying he wanted me to send him the MEID number so he could verify it would work for his plan. He doesn't actually need this, does he? The only things that should matter at things like what type of phone it is and when it was purchased right? I read that it can cause problems if the wrong person gets ahold of that number. This sounds like a scam to me. Is it?
- My iPhone just got stolen and i didn't put on Find my iphone. Is there a way i can find it without find my iphone? I have found out that i can remove my iphone from associated devices. Does doing this erase the iphone?
