Can touch screens have side effects?
I have an iPhone and an ipad. I use my ipad a lot. Can excessive touch screen use make your fingers numb? The last couple weeks I've noticed numbness in the tip of my index finger.
The touch screen itself is not the cause of the numbness.
You may be experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome -- or some other nerve problem --
caused by the relative position of your hand while you are using the gadgets.
Yeah if you use them a lot you are using your fingers too much and the nerves of your finger will experience strain from excessive movement. But the touch screen it self doesn't do anything to harm you.
