Can you still use an Iphone 3G even if it's old?
I just bought an Iphone 3G at a discounted price and it's unlocked. First of all, can I use it to text and talk?
Second, I have a verizon pre-paid account, can I port my number to it and use it as a pre-paid phone?
Third, it has minor repair issues such as having to talk extra loud because the microphone has issues and it shows the battery isn't charging, but I was told it works fine, how much am I looking at cost-wise for repairs?

You can use the phone yes but you won't be able to use it on Verizon as the use a CDMA network not a GSM. You'll have to get a sim card with AT&t
Sure you can still use it, it might not play the latest games because teh hardware is outdated but it will still work fine for everything.

Is it possible if i use the sim card from tmobile and use the iphone as my phone? Is that possible?

I don't have an iPhone but I have a lot of friends with iPhones. I was wondering if there's any way I can group iMessage with them via my macbook.
