Can you use talkatone on 3G (Not open Wi-Fi) to make long distant calls?
I know the talkaton app for iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch allows you to make local or long distant calls over the Internet (open free Wi-Fi) to any phone, but can you run talkatone through your iPhone 3G cellphone network to make long distance calls at local call price?
I'm wondering just in case I'm in an area where there isn't any open hot spot for free Wi-Fi and have to use my 3G.

Yeah, you can. It could work, but you might experience delays in speech, the other end not being able to hear you, etc, if the network is abysmal in the area. It also might use up a lot of data, depending on the length of your conversation, so be careful if you're on a metered data plan.
