How do I change my iPhone texts back to blue?

My iPhone 7 has this group chat on iMessage with many of my friends from acting class. The text usually sends through in a blue color, however, sometimes it turns green and although I text in green on that chat, the text creates other separate chats for my friends. I can't seem to find out how to change it back so it won't create other chats and so that I can contact my friends on the same chat.
The chat are green because someone is texting from an area with bad reception or an android phone (this means it is using data to send the text messege) there isn't really a way to change it back.
If someone in the group is on an Android phone or if either you or they are in a bad signal area, it'll be green. And you can't respond to only one person in the group from a group message. You would have to send a separate text only to that person.
- Will my texts come back if I back up and restore my iPhone? My iPhone 5s keeps saying I don't have enough storage but I've deleted so much I have a total of only 3 apps I downloaded and 130 pictures. My apps keep force closing so I've decided I should just back up and restore my phone on iTunes but will my texts come back? I've deleted most of my texts too there's just some I want to still have
- Why does my iPhone sometimes send texts to other iPhones as iMessages then regular texts to iPhones? Like when I send a text to my friend that has an iphone, it usually sends as an iMessage then it will randomly send as just a regular text and it will be green and not blue.

- Just lost my texts and now i can't send texts? I'm on a tarrif where i get unlimited text 150 mins and 250mb of data (Vodafone) and i was texting my mother and all of a sudden my texts wouldnt send and then my network went it came up no service on my phone ( i'm using an iphone 3gs i don't care about what phone i have as long as i have one lol ) then my network came back on and i have my internet and my calls but don't have my texts can anyone help me to sort this out
