Charger not supported with my iphone 5

I have an iphone 5 and recently the iphone cable got stuck in my phone so I had to yank it out with pliers. So I bought a new one and now it's saying it's not supported with my device, I've blown the charger hole and it's still not working, anyone know what I can do! I've also turned my phone off and on and it's still not working…

You will get that with many third party (non Apple) leads / chargers / accessories with Apple devices that use the new 'Lightning' connector rather than the old 30 Pin port - they have added the message as part of IOS7…

You will probably find that it still charges fine, it's just an annoying popup.

(Prior to IOS7 I had no warnings with my car power cable & iphone 5. Since upgrading to IOS7, it gives the warning every time I connect it. It still works fine.)
