How to check if an iphone still works?
Phone got knocked out of my hand the other day, LED went completely dead and the phone was in flight mode so i can't call it. Any ways of checking it still works just to make sure to get this screen replacement?

It might be possible that only the display is damaged and the digitiser is in tact, this would mean you can still use the touch feature of your device, you just can't see anything.
From there you can guess where to tap to turn off airplane mode, simple slide up to bring up control center and tap the correct icon. Alternatively you can plug your phone into a computer with QuickTime installed. You can use QuickTime to display your iPhone's screen by going to New Movie Recording and clicking the down arrow next to the record icon to select your iPhone as a source. This will allow you to see if what you're doing actually is working and the digitiser is or isn't broken,
Apart from that, there isn't really anything you can do. Because it's in Airplane Mode, you can't really do anything for a push notification as it isn't connected to the internet. In that case you just have to risk it and get a screen replacement and hope that's all that is wrong with it
