What should I do to make sure my iPhone 4s still works after it fell in the toilet?
My iPhone fell in the toilet yesterday and I put it in a bowl of rice for 24 hours. I took it out and charged it and it worked. I want to make sure that it won't glitch and die, so should I keep it in a bowl of rice while charging it for a day? I also noticed that when I was charging it at first, it started heating up… Should I be concerned?
You're lucky it recovered. The bag of rice only works about 1 out of 3 times. Most iPhones that get waterlogged are dead.
I'll be honest. I can't really give you the best way to make sure it works… Although you do need to dry it out first and foremost… You could use a hair dryer… Obviously don't OVERHEAT it though. But, I damaged my iPhone, and took it to an apple store, with my receipt of purchase etc, and they just swapped my phone for me. You could try that.
Right juila for next two days KEEP in the rice and then after two days wrap it in a damp cloth for 6 hours. After that it should start overheating very less. If you use it and it starts to feel very warm from the back wrap it up again keep doing this process and within a week ull be fine
Just leave it in a bag of rice for one more day, don't use a damp cloth.iPhone's get warm sometimes after some usage, with a case you won't notice it. When I talk on the phone, the back of my iPhone gets pretty warm. Don't worry, btw you are very lucky!
