Clearing the entire internal memory, iPhone 4

I bought an iPhone 4 from an old friend. Apparently, he still owes nearly 500 dollars for backed up phone bills, and I can't activate it without paying that. I was wondering where I could take it to get the entire internal memory cleared so that it is usable for me.

I'm not sure if this will help but try putting the phone in DUF mode. That should wipe everything off the phone.

  • Will clearing cache on my iPhone delete my voice recordings? I've recorded songs on the Voice Recorder app on my iPhone and I'm thinking about clearing cache on it, but I'm afraid that if I clear out my cache, my recordings will be gone. Will that happen?
  • Will clearing cache in an app make me lose data or memory? I need to clear up space on my iphone and I keep reading about clearing cache. If I do that will I lose progress on a game, for example, or will I basically be resting the app? Basically will I notice a difference if I do clear my cache?
  • Why hasn't internal memory on phones increased much? I got passed down an iphone 3Gs with a storage capacity of 32gb a number of years ago. Most pads don't seem to have too much more, and many phones of people I know come standard at 16gb. Considering the amount time that's passed, I would have thought that creating larger storage capacity for in a smaller space for cheaper would have taken more precedent, but as far as phones go, you still pay a decent premium for it.
  • Run-time memory-clearing application for iphone? I have iPhone 3GS 6.0.1, and it kept slowing and freezing even after reset or restart. It wasn't like this before. They said i should try installing run-time memory-clearing application, but i don't know any app. Anyone knows any run-time memory-clearing app that's free?
