Why hasn't internal memory on phones increased much?
I got passed down an iphone 3Gs with a storage capacity of 32gb a number of years ago. Most pads don't seem to have too much more, and many phones of people I know come standard at 16gb. Considering the amount time that's passed, I would have thought that creating larger storage capacity for in a smaller space for cheaper would have taken more precedent, but as far as phones go, you still pay a decent premium for it.
OK, you need to get your terms straight. That's not memory, that's storage space. Memory is RAM. And no, they're not the same thing.
A decent phone will start at 2GB RAM. Storage space is up to 128GB in many current models.
IPhone 7 has 128 gigs
Depends on the phones you are looking at. Considering you said an iPhone 3GS, which is a high end phone, these days 32GB is considered the standard storage for those.
Some cheaper phones would come with 16GB or less or more in an effort to reduce costs.
Newer iPhones come with up to 256gb internal storage. That's the largest internal capacity of any smartphone I think. 128gb and 64gb are other options you can choose.

- Why is the iphone so much better than other smart phones? I'm not trying to start a fight here. It just seems like Apple has access to alien technology or something. I've been trying to help my dad with his Samsung stratosphere and the difference is staggering. Another thing worth noting is that any of my friends who have non iphone smart phones also carry their ipod touches around with them. That says something.
- Why is my music taking up so much memory? I have a 32GB iPhone 4S and I have about 550 songs. Those songs amount to 10GB. My dad has the same phone with te same amount of songs but only takes up 5GB. The lengths of the songs are roughly the same. Why is it that my music takes up more memory?
- Why is Cydia taking so much memory? I just installed Cydia on my iOS 6 iPhone 4 and it added 3.7gb to my iPhone. I have a 8gb (aka 6gb) iPhone 4 I checked installous and that wasn't it. Also I know none of that memory is involed with apps. I only use about 56 mb of memory on apps.
- Why does my pokemon emerald rom's internal battery always die? I have a pokemon emerald rom for my iPhone 4s emulator (gba4ios) and within the first hour of gameplay I get a message saying that the internal battery has died but the game is still playable. How can I alleviate this problem?
