Computer will not recognize iPhone 3G
My iPhone 3G can be charged through an outlet, but all computers will not recognize it (This includes iTunes) It was recently damaged on the inside; the pins were messed up. My father fixed it maually so that it could be charged again; however, I can't get it to connect to ANY computer. I've tried 2 different computers, reinstalling iTunes, and using 2 different USB cables, but nothing works!
Please note that it isn't the cables that are the problem; both cables work fine on my iPod nano chromatic.
You probably have a broken pin inside were the charger goes and therefore no contact is been made inside the phone for the computer to recognise what it is connecting to it. To fix this take it to a place were they fix them and they might be able to change the port or in a very expensive turn have to change the board. Your dad might have done a good work but sounds like something is still wrong in there.
