Do iPhones have a tracking device in them?

Well I lost my iPhone and it seems they like restored it or something, can I still find it?

If you had the location service activated on the phone, you can track it with any computer through icloud. You can also put it in "lost mode" which allows you to put a password and a message on it. If someone turns it on, they get whatever the message was (like your phone number) and it's locked with the password.
But if you didn't have it activated, you are SOL. You can report it stolen to apple and they will disable it and mark it as stolen. If someone tries to sell it at Gamestop or something, they won't take it as they can identify stolen phones.

IPhones have GPS in them. You can look your iPhone up by entering www.icloud.com and signing in with your Apple ID and Password. BUT, if they restored the device, you will not be able to find it anymore. The best you can do is go down to your carrier, and give them the IMEI#, (Found in the box your iPhone came in) and they will put it in a black list. This will render the iPhone useless. It will never work ever again as a cellphone. (Unless its shipped to Europe or Mexico)…

Glad I helped.

Not as a some standalone module, but by virtue if they have a GPS receiver, a 3G/4G modem, and a definite identity, it can be tracked.

  • Is there a way of tracking multiple iphones from Windows PC? I'm looking for a way to track all of my staffs iphone (which I own) on a Windows PC. We use find my friends app on iphone but want a way to put all of the phones on one map. We're plumbers and want to know where people are for emergency calls, that way we can send the nearest person instead of making 10 telephone calls first.
  • Is it true that iPhones can only Bluetooth to other iPhones and no other device? I was thinking of buying either a iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S4, but a friend of mine said that iPhones can only transfer files to other iPhones via Bluetooth, which sucks.
