Do iPhones shoot well at concerts?
I'm going to a concert this summer and my camera broke so my parents are getting me an iPhone 5 for my birthday. I'm worried that the iPhone won't take good photos and videos because I'm probably going to take A LOT of pictures/videos at the concert. So will iPhones take good quality pictures/videos at a concert?
Not unless you are really close. The camera is too tiny, and does not focus, it is a general all purpose lens.
You need a small handheld like a Sony CyberShot. It has anti motion, so your pics aren't blurry, and it has auto focus and ZOOM…
Pentax also has a good small cam.
No. It is a phone / internet device with the ability to take some below mediocre photos. If good photography could be done with such a device, then pro photographers would not be spending thousands of dollars on real cameras.
A phone is the WORST type of camera - especially for a concert. They're all going to be extremely grainy, and probably have a ton of motion blur.
Even as phones go, the iPhone is pretty lackluster:
The Nokia Lumia 920 has a much better camera:
And the Lumia 920 (or any of the upper end Nokias) is a better phone anyway.
The iphone 5 has a fantastic camera and a really good video camera, but phone cameras will never compare to a pro camera as it doesn't have the large lenses that can be attached… And that of course will never happen. As far as taking photos/videos, they will be good but obviously not professional quality.

I've used my iPhone in a concert once, an no it's not good as it doesn't have manual control and doesn't have a good focal lenth! The shots are either under exposed or really blurry! And the 35mm Full Frame equivalent lens on the iPhone is just not enough, unless you're really close to the subject(as in standing next to them on the stage)
I would really stick to a DSLR with a long focal length of at least 70mm!
- Would this iphone lens be allowed in no-cam concerts? I'm going to kanye wests concert tomorrow and it says so cameras on the ticket. but I was wondering if a lens like this would be allowed in the concert but i'm pretty sure its all made out of plastic so I could probably hide it? will security wands detect it?
- Why is it legal for women to shoot down men on the street? Another traffic jam today. Was going to be late for work. Called my boss and he said not to worry about it, for another woman shot her boyfriend to death on the street for looking at another women. Why is it legal for women to put down men like dogs? Has feminism gone too far? -Sent from my Iphone Time Machine Year 2033
- Why don't iPhones work well? IPhones break easily and are laggy? Hi. I have an iPhone 5 and I have many problems with it. Whenever I type on my iPhone 5, the texts that I type come out like 5 seconds after I type them. It's very unresponsive and lagging. My previous iPhone broke in just 2 years. Is Nokia a better brand than Apple?
- What none slr camera is best for indoor concerts? I go to a lot of concerts at small venues, I have good seats (season ticket holder) and I would like to start taking some photos. What camera would be good for this? Tried my iphone but all the faces are just white with no detail. Any suggestions?
