What none slr camera is best for indoor concerts?

I go to a lot of concerts at small venues, I have good seats (season ticket holder) and I would like to start taking some photos. What camera would be good for this? Tried my iphone but all the faces are just white with no detail. Any suggestions?

It doesn't matter - any camera remotely capable of producing the results you want, is classed as a forbidden, 'Professional,' camera by the venue.

Shooting at a club is tough. Low light and fairly rapid movement means you need a pretty high-powered camera to get acceptable results, along with a lot of practice. I don't know of anything outside the SLR range that will do what you want. I've gotten good results with a Nikon D7000, along with one of the new f/4 zooms.

Whether or not you'd be able to take in a camera depends entirely on the venue. I've shot plenty at small clubs, but you should be prepared to abandon the attempt immediately if the management or band objects.

  • Would this iphone lens be allowed in no-cam concerts? I'm going to kanye wests concert tomorrow and it says so cameras on the ticket. but I was wondering if a lens like this would be allowed in the concert but i'm pretty sure its all made out of plastic so I could probably hide it? will security wands detect it?
  • What is the best (affordable), camera to record Football that's held indoor? I first was going to use my iPhone 7 and transfer everything to "iMovie" that's already installed in my phone for a highlight tape, but i was considering getting an actual good camera like a canon or Sony. Any suggestions? MUST HAVE GOOD QUALITY FOR INDOOR
  • What is a good indoor security camera that is easy to set up and has remote access? I had a Mydlink and it was difficult to set up and didn't work for very long. I'm traveling and want to be able to check in on my dogs to make certain our house/pet sitter is doing their job. I want to use my iPhone to check in. Any ideas for a camera?
  • Photos and videos in camera roll, none show up on laptop? I'm trying to upload videos from my iPhone to my Macbook Pro, but when I plugged it in and opened Image Capture, only pictures and videos taken from today were shown. The videos and pictures are still all on my iPhone, and even when I tried to upload them using Dropbox, it would say that the photos weren't available. What can I do to fix this?
