Do notifications use lots of data on iphone?
I wanna turn on notifications for facebook messenger and whatsapp so I can get the messages as soon as they're sent. However, I don't know how much data are they going to use. Are those apps constantly refreshing to check for new messages or they work in another way?
When you check a notification, it disappears. So no, it wouldn't use much data at all.
Very minimal. Don't know how much exactly but its not much at all.
They notify you in real time when you get notifications they don't use a lot of data at all. To make your notifications more battery friendly:
1) Go to settings
2) Go to Notifications
3) Go to each app and click on it and make sure only badges and sounds are enabled then you will be able to see the notifications without worrying about using too much data.
- My iphone 5 has lots of dead pixels, what to do? I have always looked after my iphone 5 So am sure no damage has come to it, however these pesky dead pixels keep appearing and won't go away, now there must be hundreds of them, they are barely noticeable and tiny but annoying when on a white or black screen. Heres the thing, I have not got a receipt or any proof of when I purchased it and I don't really take any insurance etc. What can i expect if I take it to apple shop? Is there any way I can fix it? Any help appreciated.
- Lots of music missing from iPhone? I plugged my iPhone into my computer last night in order to download a CD onto it. Today I found that nearly all the songs that I've downloaded in roughly the past six months are gone. There are a few recent songs on there, but all the rest was just gone.
- IPhone 5 using lots of data? I have noticed that I'm using almost 4 times the amount of data on my iPhone 5 than I was using on my old 3GS. The app using most seems to be Safari, it seems to use about 1MB per web page. Is this normal?
- If I keep my data on but also use Wi-Fi will it use my data? I just got an iPhone from us cellular. I use Wi-Fi to save data, but I can't receive group messages if my data isn't on. If I keep my data on all the time, but use Wi-Fi, will it use my data? And if I keep both on will it use my Wi-Fi instead of data?
