Does your iphone have to be jailbroken to get shsh blobs to downgrade iOS?

At the moment my iphone is not jailbroken and running on 6.1.3 and i want to downgrade it to… Whatever really so i can have an untethered jailbreak. I've looked at downgrading it on youtube and it says you have to have shah blobs. I have no idea what these are or w you get them but i've downloaded tiny umbrella because thats what it says to use but now what do i do? Does my device have to have a tethered jailbreak so i can downgrade and get an untethered jailbreak? I'm really confused.

Yes you need to be jailbroken to save SHSH blobs. Wait for the iOS 7 release, a jailbreak will be released alongside that for iOS 7 and 6.1.3 for older devices.

  • Will SHSH Blobs work with the iPhone 5? Can I use shsh blobs with the iPhone 5 to downgrade it. I have iOS 6.1.4 and when iOS 7 comes out, I want to be able to downgrade just in case. Please list all the devices that can be downgraded with shsh blobs.
  • SHSH blobs- iphone 4s ios 6.1.3? My iphone 4s has ios 6.1.3 and i want to downgrade to ios 6.1.2 so i can jailbreak my iphone again(it was jailbroken on ios 6.1 but i accidently upgraded).Is there any way i can get the SHSH blobs for 6.1.2 and downgrade my iphone?
  • Is it ok to downgrade ios without shsh blobs? I recently bought an iPhone 4 with not much on it. I have only a few contacts but I have lots of pictures and apps. Can I just back up those files to iCloud?
  • IOS 6.1.3 to 6.1.2 downgrade, possible with blobs? I saw a tutorial on how to do it with blobs that was released today. I was wondering that since it is possible, if I can use someone else's 6.1.2 SHSH blobs? If it is, can someone send me theirs via email? (I have an iPhone 4S)
