Dropped iPhone 6 and it cracked?
I dropped my iPhone 6 on the cement about a week after getting it. I didn't have a case for it yet so it cracked around the entire screen. It worked fine then it started to get these lines through it and it's hard to navigate the screen now and I can't see the percentage my it's on. Now today it won't turn on at all. I've tried everything, held the home & power button for a long time, everything. We don't have apple care. How much would it cost to get a whole new one and would I have my same number?
The apple store has iphone 6 models that start at $299 and go up to $499
Easy part is keeping the number, as for replacement cost, look for sales for the holidays. SORRY

You walk into an Apple store with phone in hand, and ask the nice Apple Rep, how much it will cost to repair the broken screen, and guess what? They will tell you exactly how much it will take to repair your screen. The while standing there, you decide if the price is worth it.
Lessons learned? You need a case with a lanyard. The case will help protect the phone from most bumps and drops, and the lanyard if worn, will keep the phone from hitting the ground should you drop it. And that glass breaks when it hits hard surfaces.
Oh and the other thing you learned is AppleCare+ for you, would have been a good thing to have had.
Me friend at work did the same thing the other week, he took it to the apple store, they charged him £95 to replace the glass, but they can't guarantee it works as it has to be bonded on and calibrated. His didn't work and he had to pay just under £300 for a new phone.
Getting just the screen replaced is not a hard job to do and it should be relatively easy to get a professional to do it for you for pretty cheap.

- I dropped my iphone 6s and only the top right corner cracked, but the screen has vertical white lines;? The lines are not opaque and change color according to the colors displayed on the screen (i.e. Yellow produces red lines, etc.) Also the very right side of the screen is unresponsive and the rest of the screen keeps opening random apps and pressing random things. Calls still come through and the audio is fine. My question is, what's broken/needs fixing and about how much would it cost?
