EBay- how does shipping and payment work for the seller?

So I realized I listed my iPhone with no idea how this really even works so I selected the shipping so that the person pays. So will eBay send me the packaging to ship it or… Yeah how's that work? Also payment is revived over pay pal correct? If I have a eBay account that's already all set up? Anything else I should know?

Wow, you are asking a lot. First go to PayPay and open an account. Just because you opened an eBay account you don't get a PayPal account automatically. As far as shipping is concerned you will have to package and ship it out all by yourself. You might have selected the buyer to pay, but you still have to do all the work. Ebay will give you the address to where the item is to be shipped. They will also give you a choice in using their Purchase and Print service. This is where eBay will give you a discount on the shipping cost if purchase through them. They will also generate a shipping label that you print out.

NOW eBay does have a new service where they will actually package and mail out your item. BUT you have to send it to them so they have it to ship. This will cost you to ship it to eBay. That's money out of your pocket. On some items it might make sense. That is what you will have to determine. There's a link on the eBay's website that will explain this service and how to get started.

EBay is fun at times, and other times it's a pain in the rear. It take a while to get use to. Take your time and always view other items on eBay to see how they are selling theirs. It's always great if you have a friend who sells on eBay. They can be a great mentor.
