EBay seller shipped broken item and deleted their account?
I bought an "iPhone" on EBay from a seller claiming it worked perfectly fine for $400 and the seller shipped but the iCloud is locked. The seller failed to mention this and now iim out $400 and they deleted their account. What do I do and will they be stopped?
If you paid via paypal you will get your money back if you opened a case, and even if they have withdrawn the money and even if they have closed their account - there's a guarantee with paypal, that is how they get away with their fees - they offer security. If it was a bank transfer, sometimes your bank can get it back for you. If it was cheque or cash then it becomes impossible to get your money back.
Will they be stopped? They've already been stopped. Their account got shut down. It can take 90 days or more for eBay to close an account once a request is made. In that time you can't buy nor sell anything. Thus, eBay kicked them out for some violation.
As for the seller not mentioning that the phone was locked you should always assume that just because something is not mentioned doesn't mean anything. You ask questions BEFORE you bid if it looks like anything is left out.
