FBI can unlock iPhone 5C? Shall I sell mine now?

I don't feel safe keeping my iPhone 5C any more since FBI can hack it. I don't want my personal information to be hacked. What shall I do? Is there a way to stop them from a hacking or do I buy a new phone?

The FBI paid someone over a million $ to do this - and that person got to keep their method confidential. NOBODY CARES about your stuff - dopey pix, calendar, reminders. If you actually use your phone to transmit anything confidential, like credit card into, you had BETTER be using really, really good protection software - not something something that blocks ads for Candy Crush. Use a VPN at home with your now Wi-Fi - which is also protected. Use "trusted app" and/or "trusted connection" software when using Wi-Fi outside your home.

If you are going to USE a smartphone, you had better be SMARTER. If you do not know how to protect yourself - then you shoudl not own ANY phone. Period. Or a computer. Years ago, I though I was safe - and then got burned enough to realize I needed SERIOUS upgrading in my education about protection. I'm now fine, and as safe as a normal American citizen can expect - and yes, I know that is hardly without faults. So - it's not the PHONE you own - it's YOU, and how much you know about protection.

If you feel that you're such a threat that the FBI are willing to spend over a million dollars to hack your phone, then yes, sell it
