Food pictures apps for Instagram?

Okay so I want to start posting pictures of food on Instagram. I only have an iPhone to take pictures with. So, let me know the BEST FREE apps for food pics on insta! I want them to like clean, neat, professional, and all that! Can I have tips to? Also, how do people post pictures with their cameras? I might get one soon.

Professional shots from an iPhone are never going to happen. The cameras on phones are very very basic. Just make sure you have plenty of light. All you need is the regular camera app.

Why do you need an app to take a picture?

If you want clean, neat (whatever that means) images, then take them in good light.

An iPhone is the most basic of point & shoot cameras - so you need to be in good light for a reasonable image.

Please don't. I think it's ridiculous when people post photos of their food online.

Put the food next to a window (preferably one facing North). Next, use white foam core boards to act as reflectors which will throw light back onto the food producing a nice soft-contrast look. The problem now is that you're not using a camera, but a telephone to take pictures. The reason that this is an issue, if not already obvious, is that the lens on your phone is too wide angle for what you want to do. This results in distortion of the subject, which, by the way, is why you selfies look the way they do.
You don't need an app to make "… Neat, professional, and all that" food photographs. Ironically, using an app will almost certainly cause you to produce anything but a professional-looking image. Apps don't make professional images. Apps make bad photos look less bad which is why they're only used on images taken with phones.
Keep your process simple and clean. Ignore the temptation to use an app with every shot you take. Learn to get it right in camera and use post processing to enhance the qualities of a good capture instead of trying to make a mediocre image look neat and all that.
