For what "i" stands for in iPhone, iPad, and iPod?

Internet.

The iMac was the first Apple "i" device.

No it does not mean internet like the 1st answerer suggested. Think about it, why would the i in iPod in particular mean internet while the iPod to have internet launched in 2007, the iPod touch, 6 years after the launch of the original iPod in 2001.

The i doesn't stand for anything. It was simply named so due to being an Apple product and as a result of the iMac being as successful as it was Apple decided to adopt the naming scheme for brand identity.

Only on the iMac does the i stand for something, like the 1st answerer said, internet. Even though the iPhone & iPad both had internet from the get go, the i was not for internet.
