Good older iphone/smart phone model?
I'm looking for a new phone, but I'm not sure what to get. I'm looking for an iphone or smart phone but I'm on a deffinate (up to about £70 or so) so I was thinking of buying one of the older models used. I want one that I can use for: going on the internet, reading manga and preferably snapchat, but otherwise I don't mind. Also, any tips for buying them second hand and what to look for when buying would be welcome.
I don't think you'll find any good iPhone under 70 quids. You can get the iPhone 4 new in that budget but it isn't decent enough for heavier tasking. If you really want a decent performing iPhone, you should get the iPhone 4S which you can find used but raising that budget a bit can get you a minty iPhone 4S. Other smartphones if not iPhone will be Lumia 635, Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, Moto E, Lenovo A916, etc. If you need help with getting one decent smartphone in your budget and at reasonable price, mail me for more info.
- Why does my iphone 5 replacement phone seem to have older graphics? For example, when I turn on your iphone 5, it had a sliced apple that's silver. When I turned on my replacement iphone 5 the apple is black. Also, the battery symbol there's much bigger and elongated while the original iphone 5 battery icon is small
- When getting a replacement iPhone do apple give you the same model or a newer model? I have an iPhone 5 and on Tuesday I'm getting a replacement because of the battery. Would the "geniuses" give me a newer model (like the iPhone 5c or IPhone 5s) or the same model.
- When do US carriers (AT&T, Verizon, etc) lower the price of older model iPhones? Usually when a new iPhone comes out, the previous years model gets discounted by about $100. Does this price change usually happen when the new iPhone is announced, or is the price drop not effective until a few weeks later when the new model actually becomes available for sale?
- Is there an iPhone adapter for the newer model to the older model? I recently bought an iPhone 5c and got an ihome for it. The phone got stolen and now I have to downgrade to a 4s but you still want to be able to use the ihome. Is there an adapter for the smaller charger to the newer charger?
