Good Single DIN stereo and single DIN door/box to fill in double DIN space ideas?

I have an xterra and I'm looking for a new stereo. Oem it's a double DIN but I'm wanting a Single DiN head unit so I can have a single din box underneath it to store my hand gun. Don't worry I have my concealed hand gun liscense. In a stereo I'm ideally looking for something with bluetooth, multiple cd changer, radio… USB port, can change colors(green is a plus since that's what the rest of the lights in my car are, and removable memory. Anything ontop of that is a plus like specific iPhone connectivity, flip up screen, aux input and DVD capabilities. As far as the set up goes would I need any specific like a 1+1 DIN adapter/box or do I just buy the bottom box piece and pop it under the unit? As far as the box goes for under the head unit I need something with a door so my gun isn't showing. Maybe a push to open cover. If it comes with a lock that's a plus but if it doesn't no buggy I can just add one myself. So any ideas on a good stereo or box?

My boyfriend put a Pioneer DEH-X5500HD radio in my old Jetta. It has an HD radio tuner built in. HD radio is not satellite radio. It gets a few stations old radios don't get being an HD radio and those stations are free and sound like CD quality. You can change the colors on the radio to match your gauges and there's a USB input on the front for MP3's.
I love my radio! My boyfriend put a pocket under the radio since my car was a double din.

I got it from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/...B0091UY0HE

The mounting kit or dash kit you need to install a single-din unit does not come with a door… And certainly not a locking door. Nobody makes a kit that has a door. But it's Metra part number 99-7581 for a 2005 and up Xterra.

If you Really want to fab something up, a lot of older Toyotas have a single-din pocket with door. You MIGHT be able to fab some brackets together to attach your single-din headunit and mount it into your Nissan.

Once you open that door, there' only about 1 1/2" of height.

Lastly, that's a terrible location for a concealed weapon. The Ruger LCP is about the only firearm that will fit in that pocket anyway. And you'd still have to stick your finger in there to snake it out. Certainly not grabbing it with your whole hand. FAR FAR less than optimal during a fight for your life, a pain in the neck for transporting, and borderline irresponsible without a door or anything.

  • Why does an IPhone sound like a Minecraft door when you close it? I usually don't have my ringer on on my IPhone X but recently I turned it on during my spring break and realized when you closed an IPhone it sounds like when you close a door and Minecraft. This now brings up more questions such as who did it first and does apple or Minecraft have to pay a royalty every time that sound is made by their product?
  • What's the best double din audio receiver? I have a budget of about $200-$250. It has to be double din. Must have either USB iphone connection or AUX connection. Bluetooth is not needed. And if possible touch screen or at least without the stupid colorful lights all over it.
  • Lifeproof case charger port door opens too easily? So, i have a lifeproof case for my iphone 4s and the door on the charger port opens way too easily. My mom has a the exact same lifeproof case but in a different color- and her charger port door is much more secure. If it means anything, the charger port itself is cracked all the way down the inside leading to the iPhone. What's wrong with the case and how do I fix it without buying a whole new one?
  • How should I record (or shoot) and prove slamming neighbor's door? My neighbor starts slamming the door again after they were received a warning letter by my landlord. They know it's difficult to prove how hoisy they are. It might be a minor complaints. But it's so noisy. I try to record and shoot the scene with sounds, also date and time when it happened with iPhone and another camera. However, it's small and different sounds than actual sounds. How should I record the slamming neighbor's door?
