I've been into photography but I want to take the next step?
I want to ditch the iPhone and purchase a real camera! I don't want anything too expensive like 500+ and something mainly for beginners. I want to take mainly landscape maybe a few portraits here and there. Any suggestions?
Any camera that provides full manual control over all features is sufficient to learn on. I urge you to purchase a good quality used camera of the SLR type, preferably from a local camera store that specializes in photographic equipment. When you establish a relationship with such a store you can always trade in equipment when you want to upgrade plus they are very good source of knowledge and advice.
