How to change a song I bought on iTunes into a ringtone?

So I'm using this website:

And it was all working well on iTunes, I'm using a Mac, and then I got to step seven, which is going to tones and your song will be there. My song isn't there. I did everything how it is supposed to be, and I'm on iOS 7, by the way. What do I do to make my ringtone come up? I'm getting really frustrated and all the tutorials I've seen don't show my problem…

I can't tell you what to do. But it'd be easier if you just bought the ringtone version.

I make the song 30 seconds, create an aac version, hit show in windows explorer, but then the next step says change the ".m4a" in the song title file name to ".m4r". The only problem is the file name just shows up with the normal song title, no ".m4a". Any idea what i'm doing wrong?
