Trying to convert itunes song to ringtone, file name not showing up with.m4a?
I've found several step by step instructions on how to turn an itunes song into a ringtone for my iphone. I make the song 30 seconds, create an aac version, hit show in windows explorer, but then the next step says change the ".m4a" in the song title file name to ".m4r". The only problem is the file name just shows up with the normal song title, no ".m4a". Any idea what i'm doing wrong?
Windows 7 has it automatically set to any recognized file type extensions aren't shown in the name. In your case to turn that off go to:
Control panel>Appearance and Personalization>Folder Options>View>Scroll down, then uncheck "Hide etensions for known file types"
- Why won't iTunes transfer any song or any file to any of my devices? I have unistalled and reinstalled iTunes multiple times. When I go to to transfer a song to iphone, ipad, ipod it just freezes up and doesn't do anything. I'm running the newest version of the program. What do I need to do? Just want to fix it. Thanks. I have waited on the program to transfer just to see if it is slow or what and it took 30 mins and nothing. I can't download software updates also.

If I download a song from iTunes does it get stored on my computer as an MP3 or does it just exist as something iI bought with my account and then becomes available to put on my iPod/iPhone when i want because of the magical powers of the internet?
- I downloaded an itunes song and now its not showing up, what do I do? So I downloaded "The Morning of the Rain" from the show Nashville on iTunes. However now it is not showing up on my iTunes on my computer. But it seems to have downloaded normally onto my actual iPhone. As well in my purchase history the song appears and it is "downloaded" according to iTunes. So I can't redownload it (at least to my knowledge).So I was wondering howI can get the song to appear in my actual iTunes playlist not just on my iPhone.
