How does iphone 5c data work?
My family has to share 5gb of data and their is 5 of us so we each get 1gb so i can't use it often. So i was wondering how much can i use apps like instagram kik snapchat twitter and tumblr? How much data do they use and how does data work? Like does data depend on how many times u open an app or how long you use it or what?

Hi, i have 750mb on my iphone and i never use all of it and I use apps such as snapchat kik instergram Facebook and Twitter and it goes down very slowly also you can get apps for whatever network your on and they tell you how much data you have left.
True it's a 5gb bucket each of you gets to pull from but 1gb each might not be accurate. Some will use more than others. Also do you have Wi-Fi at home/work/school? This will help not use up that total 5gb a month. See the calculator and some examples below to estimate. Bottom line, if the phone's on and you have tumblr, twitter, snapchat, instagram, or whatever running and it's not on Wi-Fi, you are using some data. Also set data counters and alerts on each device so you'll have advance notice when your amount is about up. Best luck.

I have a really old contract ish and i got my bill back today and it says its £15 extra for internet usage, so i hop on the iphone and it says i've used 58mb of mobile data (the rest i've used with Wi-Fi) but this seems extremely expensive? Is it right? My contract is with vodafone if that helps
