How does the do not disturb work on my iPhone?

I know what the do not disturb thing is on my iPhone & I know all the things about it. There's just one thing I do not know. When I decide to turn it back on, will the missed calls and notifications come in?

The notifications come through anyway, your phone is just on silent and it won't notify you. Your phone will receive them immediately though.

Yes they will. However by default the iPhone blocks the 1st attempt of a call from coming through but if the 2nd one is made soon enough after then it will allow it to come through. That is in case of emergencies. The option for that can be turned off as well.

You can turn the notification off then the iPhone won't disturb you anymore
