How long will it take me to learn German?
I'm might be able to speak or understand people speaking German. I'm hearing impaired so its hard to understand people. I can just learn to write German at first. I think it will help. Can you give me tips learning to learn German. I had downloaded an app on my iPhone and learned some of the numbers.
It usually takes 4-5 years to become fluent if you study it about an hour per day. It is very important to practise pronunciation and read books in German. There are plenty of good pages on the net where you can learn basic grammar, but if you want to speak properly, it is necessary to start a Deutschkurs in a language school.
Under optimal circumstances, 30 weeks aka 750 hours of work.

I guess it would be good to have someone explain the grammar to you, and you should read books (start with comics) with a good dictionary by your side.

- Will an AT&T sim work in an unlocked German iPhone 4S? My boss lost his iPhone 4S in Germany. Will an unlocked iPhone 4S purchased from the Apple Store (in Germany) with an AT&T sim work both there and in the States? I'm finding conflicting info.
