Both are a good idea. The automatic backup to iCloud is adequate for most purposes, but it doesn't hurt to back up to iTunes once in a while, especially before upgrading software. I don't back up mine very often, but then again I delete all old texts and don't care about apps data to much. The only thing I don't want to lose is some photos I take, so anytime I have new photos that I really like, I just copy them in windows explorer to the computer, and put them on a USB thumb drive. That way I have them backed up completely separate from anything.

- Will buying more iCloud space let me download more apps, songs, and photos? So i have deleted apps that i don't really need and deleted songs i don't listen to but still there's not enough space to even take a photo, A pop up comes up that says to manage my icloud storage. Would purchasing more icloud storage allow me to download more apps and have more songs and pictures on my iPhone 4 from sprint? It is an 8gb i think.
