How to activate my iPhone 5?

I'm very frustrated right now. My iPhones just arrived, and i contacted t-mobile and they activated my sim-cards (for both phones) for me, except, i can't use my old phone now and i'm not sure if i can use my iphone to call Apple to activate my iPhone even after two hours because i'm not sure if it will allow me because of that fact that this damn iPhone 5 isn't even activated. The service is, but the iPhone 5 isn't. I don't have another phone, so now how will i do this?

Activate thru iTunes from a pc

  • IPhone 5 broke, can I buy a used iPhone 4 and activate it? This may seem like a silly question, but I'm not that informed about cell phone plans really… I've had a iPhone 5 for the past year and a half through Verizon. It broke today. Like full on broke nto covered by insurance… I found a Verizon iPhone 4 for sale for like 70 bucks in great condition from someone on craigslist. If I buy that, can I go into Verizon with it and have them activate it for me and have it be my new phone? Does this make sense?
