How to afford an apartment on your own?
I have wealthyish parents who have always paid for everything, college, clothes, phone, groceries, etc. I dropped out of college and want to make my own way. I looked up what I could make with a part-time entry-level job (bc of my health i don't think i could handle full-time) and i found out i could afford at most to pay 348/mo… But no apartments where i wanna live are available for that price… How is it done?! I wanna know what i have to do, and what kind of job i have to have, to be able to afford to live and have a safe apartment. I mean, i have an iphone right now… I don't think i could pay those bills myself. How do people do it?! I just want tips on exactly what income i need, and what all my expenses will be, what i need to do to move out on my own.
Of course it depends on where you live. I'd suggest you go to roommates.com and post an ad. See if you can find several people to share a house or large apartment. Alternately you could look for a room for let in someone's house. You could also look for work exchange such as cooking or cleaning for partial or total room and board.
It's done by working full time. You need an income of 3x the monthly rent.
- Would you replace your own screen on your iPhone or iPod? Hi, I was just wondering if you would replace your own screen on your iPhone, provided you have the correct tools, videos and guides? And help if you can get access to it? Thanks I'm not looking to replace my screen, I was just wondering if YOU would do it.
- What iPhone app lets you upload your own borders/backgrounds for your photos? I've seen people post photos on Instagram, with the pictures in various sizes, and different images as the background border. InstaSize allows you to make your photos different sizes, but only has a limited selection of borders. I've been searching through so many different photo editing/photo collage apps and can't find anything that does this.
- No reception in apartment, iphone app for making calls and texting through wi-fi? I've got an iphone 5 with t-mobile, the apartment i live in gives me literally no reception at all. But as soon as i step out of it, i get an immidiate 3-4 bars, so I figured it's just my apartment. Does anyone know of any iphone apps that can use my phone number to make calls and text through wi-fi while still allowing me to keep my t- mobile service? So that i can still get calls and texts while in my apartment?
- I can't afford an iPhone, should I get an iPod? I need a new phone and I really want an iPhone but they are too expensive! Should I get an iPod and a Samsung galaxy ace 2 or something else? Please suggest me good (cheaper than iPhone) phones. I really want the new Samsung galaxy S3, but that's even more expensive than the iPhone -.
