How to clean up my iPhone 4s and speed up it?

I bought a iPhone 4s as soon as it published on October, fourth, 2011. Almost three years have past,
It gets old, too. Sometimes It needs several minutes to wait its reaction. And I become more and more annoyed. As an academician now, I can't afford a new one. What solutions do you have? Oh, so bored.

You should remove some app you don't use, copy picture and video to your laptop or PC and download app clearner to clear some junk file and cache crearted when you use the phone, when you stored a lot of file in your IP, it'll run slow

Ok i've had the same problem myself! What i did was boil some water and than just put your phone in there for about 10-20 minutes. It really works! When the water's boiling it doesn't make your phone break because of the increased amount of oxygen prior to regular water. Make sure the water is hot! Be careful and it will speed up your phone to be 10 times faster! Glad i could help

If you're not wanting to restore it to "factory state" stop all push notifications. This slows the phone right down.

If you disable them, it will speed your phone up quite a lot.
