How to completely backup my iphone5?
I need to completely backup my iphone, so including photos, contacts, messages etc. How do i do that?
Is it just like that? Because i need to back up everything, http://support.apple.com/.../kb/ht1766
also how do i check to make sure it is all backed up, just in case.
Added (1). I don't want to use icloud. I don't have enough space for that, and i do not wish to purchase more space.
Two ways,
1. Do it the manual boring way over the computer. (Not recommended)
OR
2.iCloud, stores everything over Apple's cloud. No matter if you're on your iPhone/iPad/Computer, if you download a new photo on one of the devices, it shows up on the others. Same with apps and contacts and messages. Plus, if you ever restore, iCloud always backs up the phone daily, giving you the latest restore save file
The URL you put in your question answers your question well. Unfortunately as it states not everything can be backed up from apple devices. Apple won't allow it. It's one of many apple restrictions.
The things that can be backed up can be done in iTunes and the cloud. You need to activate the cloud in your settings so it allows it. ITunes does not back up things like contacts, calendars etc those need to be done in the cloud.
Just go on the backup option and take complete backup in your memory card. If you could't find any thing then just go on the care of your phone.
I would use itunes, its much faster if backing up the entire phone in icloud. Just connect your phone with the cable and itunes will walk you through the backup automatically.
For smaller stuff like contacts etc I have mine backed up there also. You can go to http://www.icloud.com/...icloud.com and it will show you what files you have backed up.
If you don't have enough space, why not backup all the iPhone 5 files to your computer, including photos, contacts, messages, videos, music songs, ringtones, etc. I think it's much safer for avoiding missing. If you like to transfer them to computer, I recommend you 4Videosoft iPhone Transfer Platinum. Easy to use.

Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
